It’s easy to procrastinate….to write lists…make plans. It’s easy to put off ‘starting’ until circumstances are right, ready at a moment’s notice to roll out the plan of action when the green light flashes ahead.
But that’s never going to happen. The time is never going to be just right to set dreams into motion, there will always be excuses and reasonings, there will always be hurdles and difficulties.
We simply need to wake up. Wake up to reality. Embrace life’s challenges as part of the process.
A dream is a safety net, a hypothetical situation that envelopes us like a comfort blanket whilst we close our eyes to the world. A life cannot be lived inside your head, yet the only thing standing between your dream and your life is commitment to action; and the only way to make that action a reality is to simply… open your eyes… wake up …and fold away that comfort blanket.
What is a Mantra for Monday?
Silent Sunday no. 28: A few days ago I had the pleasure of my first newborn photoshoot for a friend who had recently had a baby girl. It was a great experience for me to gain some practice in fields of photography with which I am much less familiar. I love the way the light through the nursery window caught the folds of the skin and the softness of the rug.
